Rev. Trevor Crenshaw is the son of Clifford and Barbara Crenshaw.  He has been a resident of Florence, AL for over forty years. For the past 20 years, he has been married to Tia (Tijuana Thompson) and together they have three wonderful children; Derrion , Tamara, and Trevor.

 

In 1978, at the age of eight, Rev. Crenshaw accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the pastorship of Rev. Billy Buford at Good Hope M. B. Church, Florence, AL. From that day forward, he has allowed his Savior to lead and guide his path, though sometimes falling short along the way, always getting back up again with a renewed spirit and an even deeper commitment to the Lord.

 

After graduating from Coffee High School (now Florence Middle School), Florence, AL in 1988, Rev. Crenshaw went on to serve in the Alabama National Guard where he was Honorably Discharged. In 1992, he accepted the call to preach the gospel and was licensed to minister while attending Trinity M. B. Church. At Trinity, he served faithfully as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, and during a period when Trinity was without a pastor, he obediently conducted worship service.


In 1996, Rev. Crenshaw was called to pastor Petersville M. B. Church and was ordained in the gospel ministry. He then went on to serve as pastor of Petersville M. B. Church until 2005. Also in 2005, he served as interim pastor of Holy Sanctuary Temple of God, Florence, AL. Today, he is the proud pastor of Trinity M. B. Church, Florence, AL where he is committed to ensuring that God's five-fold purpose for the church is taught with simplicity to all of God's children.

Recognizing the importance of imparting the Word of God, Rev. Crenshaw began his educational journey for understanding at Birmingham Baptist College in 1996. In 2001, he graduated summa cum laude from American Baptist College, Nashville, TN with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies. He went on to attend Beeson School of Divinity, Birmingham, AL in 2003. In the spring of 2010, he received his Master of Arts Degree summa cum laude from Selma University, Selma, AL. He is currently attending Luther Rice University & Seminary in Lithonia, GA pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree.

Rev. Crenshaw has had the privilege of serving as a member of SAC (Superintendents Advisory Committee), SAMP (Shoals Area Marriage Policy), and as the President of the Lauderdale County Head Start Policy Council. He also received honorary recognition from the National Deans List and Who's Who Among Students In American Universities & Colleges.

 

God has blessed and enabled Rev. Crenshaw to utilize his teaching and preaching skills at both the district and the state levels. He has taught numerous classes such as Public Speaking, Ephesians, Homiletics, and Evangelism. He has preached the gospel in his home town and distances as far as Nassau, Bahamas. He has been equipped by God with the ability to skillfully and efficiently deliver His Word with both clarity and simplicity. He has determined to preach and teach God's Word until he hears the Master say, “…well done thou good and faithful servant…” (Matt. 25:23).
